It is estimated that the number of Portuguese citizens currently reside in the United Kingdom, 

constituting the 9th foreign nationality in that country. The UK is the 8th country in the world where

Portuguese.


For its part, the British community residing in Portugal is made up of 22,431 individuals. It is the 6th 

largest group of foreign residentsin our country (after Brazil, Cape Verde, Ukraine, Romania, China,

With regard to citizens and, in the first place, to Portuguese citizens

in the UK, have already been carried out by the Consulates-General of

London and Manchester 15 information sessions for the community

Portuguese resident in the United Kingdom, between March and December 2018,

covering the following localities: Thetford, in the region of Norfolk (17

March); Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Northern Ireland (5

May); Lambeth, borough of London (9 May); Dungannon, Ireland

of the North (June 2); Bridgewater (June 23); Peterborough (8 of

July); Southhall (12 July); Crawley (July 14); Leicester (July 21)
